Hemlock Bluffs Nature Preserve

Residents of Cary, NC have access to many recreational activities, including parks, walking trails and sporting events. Every August, Cary hosts the Lazy Daze Festival. This event features live entertainment, music, food and plenty of handmade jewelry and clothing. Here is a list of many other recreational activities in the Town of Cary:

  • Koka Booth Amphitheatre at Regency Park hosts live concerts, festivals, events and Movies by Moonlight.

  • Hemlock Bluffs Nature Preserve, located in south Cary, features 3 miles of nature trails with observation platforms.

  • The Cary Ice House, an ice skating rink that offers public skating, figure skating and ice hockey.

  • Cary Tennis Park, has 30 championship courts and offers many tennis programs.

  • Triangle Aquatic Center, is a 72,000 square foot facility with 3 pools, swim shop and cafe.

  • WakeMed Soccer Park is home to the Carolina Railhawks, Cary's professional soccer team.

  • Prestonwood Country Club has Three, 18 hole courses. Prestonwood hosts national events such as the Senior PGA Tour's SAS Championship.

  • William B. Umstead State Park, is a 5,580 acre park that offers, biking, picnic areas and boat rentals.

  • Fred G. Bond Metro Park, is a 310 acre park that offers, hiking trails, athletic fields and lake.

  • The New Cary Arts Center located at 101 Dry Avenue.

  • Also the Town of Cary Parks and Recreation Department maintain 21 Parks and many miles of Cary Greenway Trails.
